Podcasting is so 2005, but I'm just realizing how good it is. Maybe it is the prospect of having an internet connection at home or maybe the planets (minus Pluto) have aligned, but whatever reason I am now involved in two podcasts.
The first is called "The Lame Show" and I working on it with my friend Eddie Hargreaves. We will be talking about technology, issues of the day, and will have a couple things we do every show. First we will each nominate something or someone to the Lame list and second we will each make a musical recomendation for the week. The name comes from the Lame list, but may end up more closely related to the quality of the show (only you, the potential audience, can decide. We taped our first episode on Saturday and it is now available (rss feed).
Megan and I are also contributing to a podcast by ExPats from around the world called Rabbit Hole Daily. The idea is that ExPats from different countries will tell a story of life in their neck of the woods. The organizer of the effort is in Italy and she already has contributors from a few countries lined up. Megan and I finished up our first contribution this weekend before I headed to the U.S on business and the episode with our contribution should be up soon. I'll provide linkage when it is up.
Posted by Noah Brimhall at September 19, 2006 12:11 PMthe rss feed link doesn't work for me. i've tried clicking on it and letting it do its own thing, copying and pasting into ipod, clicking on the link in the actual page... nothing. :( maybe it has something to do with the spaces in the link?
Posted by: Miss Shigatsu at September 19, 2006 01:54 PMDear god, you weren't actually going to subscribe to the show, were you? I would never be so foolish!
Seriously though, Eddie is looking into it and I'll correct the link when we know more.
Posted by: Noah Brimhall at September 19, 2006 02:48 PMOK, rss feed link fixed. The best way to use this is to right click on the URL and choose "Copy shortcut" (or whatever it is in other browsers besides crappy I.E.) and paste the URL in your favorite Podcasting client.
Posted by: Noah Brimhall at September 19, 2006 04:32 PMWhy don't you podcast your own site? You and Megan can switch off recording your news!
Posted by: Matthew at September 20, 2006 09:52 AMWhile I appreciate your encouragement for us doing our own podcast, just look back over the number of postings we have done over the last few months.
In the past two months we have written precisely four postings. There is no way we could sustain a podcast. We may be bighting off more than we can chew with being contributors.
Basically, we need to feed and care for our blog, and then we can look into a podcast. But if we really enjoy working on the Rabbit Hole Daily, then you may see us contributing there very often!
Posted by: Noah at September 20, 2006 05:57 PMShucks, missing a Y in my URL link on the podcast archives page....
Great 2nd episode, I must say!
