Going after SCOTUS pt. 2

A few weeks back I wrote about a law that Sen. Zell Miller was trying to get passed to take away the power of judicial review from the Supreme Court. Well, it looks like someone is at it again. The new law would "allow Congress to reverse the judgments of the United States Supreme Court." It is called the "Congressional Accountability for Judicial Activism Act of 2004". Of course it is total BS that probably won't pass the Congress, probably wouldn't be signed by the President, and even if for some terrible reason did get to that point would probably be ruled unconstitutional by SCOTUS.

What is scary, is that there are Representatives and Senators that think that this kind of law which would destroy the constitutional balance of powers is a good idea and a legitamate way of restricting the courts.

Kudos for pointing this out. It's sometimes hard to believe that even our own elected officials don't seem to understand the way the system is supposed to work. What would be funny is if the bill was signed into law, someone challenged it and the courts ruled it unconstitutional. Then Congress would have to vote to reverse that judgment. And then it could just go on forever....
